Judge resources

HRC judges are the backbone of our organization. The contributions and sacrifices made by our HRC judges are immense. The time they spend “in the chair” and on the road, giving back to HRC, is a dedication like no other, and we couldn’t do this without them! They give up countless weekends to volunteer their time so that members can enter their dogs and earn points in HRC/UKC hunt tests.

Becoming a judge

Prospective judges must have a recommendation from their home club and have owned, trained and passed a dog at the level to be judged. The full list of requirements for approval is in the FAQ.

Maintaining your license

Seminars

All judges are required to attend a Judge and Handlers Seminar once every three (3) years. During any 6-year period, at least 1 of the seminars on file must be in person. The 1st seminar for new judge eligibility must be in person.

Judge forms

Paper forms for judges (club and Field Rep recommendations, the paper judges test, training notification, and the flagged-judge form) are kept together in the document library. Some are held for review there.

Judges lists

The current judges lists include judges’ email addresses and phone numbers, so they are held for review and not published here. How they will be shared has not been decided.
